The following is only a list of books in my library on the Dao De Jing. The Hua Hu Ching hasn’t been given a date as there is no known ancient text of it, and it does have a distinctive Buddhist flavor, but Hua-Ching Ni asserts that it was a later writing by Laozi - possibly after he had traveled to the West (Tibet, India, etc.). However, there is another text that has been attributed to Laozi by some, so I’m including it in this list. The common understanding is that the Dao De Jing is the only book which was written by Laozi, and it’s been accepted as the most important text about Dao and Daoism. Later scholars gave it the name “Dao De Jing”. The Dao De Jing (Tao Te Ching) was originally referred to as The Laozi. There is likewise no evidence that he wrote any or all of the chapters in the Dao De Jing.” Historians don't agree on who Laozi was or if such a person actually existed, as there is no actual record of his birth or death.
